Disclaimer & your responsibility

My journey, your choices.

Please read this before acting on anything you find on Rootline. By using this site you agree to it.

In an emergency
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number right away (in the UAE, call 998 for an ambulance or 999 for police). Don't rely on this website.

1. This is my personal journey

Rootline and Project 40 document one person's journey: mine. I share what I read, what I try and how I feel, as I count down to my 40th birthday.

I'm not a doctor, nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, scientist or any other kind of health professional. Nothing on this site, on the printed cards, in my videos, social posts, newsletter or tools is professional advice.

2. Not medical advice

Everything here is for general information, education and inspiration only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't create any doctor–patient or professional relationship.

Don't use anything here to diagnose or treat a health problem, and never ignore professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or watched on Rootline.

3. You're responsible for your own choices

Everyone's body, health history and circumstances are different. Something that works for me may do nothing for you, or may be unsafe for you.

If you decide to try anything you see here (a food, tea, herb, supplement, skincare product, routine, workout or habit), you do so by your own choice and at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own decisions and actions and their results.

4. Talk to your doctor first

Always consult your doctor or a qualified health professional before making changes, and especially about:

  • Starting, stopping or changing any supplement, herb or medication
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding or trying to conceive
  • Any medical condition, allergy or diagnosis
  • Possible interactions between supplements, herbs, foods and medication
  • Starting a new exercise routine, fasting or a big change in diet
  • Symptoms that are new, severe or don't go away

5. My experiments are not science

My experiments are personal observations, not clinical trials. They involve one person, no control group and lots of things changing at once. My results, verdicts and opinions prove nothing about what will work for anyone else.

Where I share lab or test results, they're my own, shared by choice, and they're not a benchmark for you.

6. Information can be incomplete or change

I do my best to read reliable sources and say clearly when evidence is weak, but research changes, I can make mistakes, and summaries leave things out. Always check the original sources and ask a professional.

"Natural" doesn't automatically mean safe. Traditional use isn't the same as proven benefit.

7. Products, brands and links

Mentioning a product, brand, clinic, test or book is not an endorsement or recommendation for you. Links to other websites are for convenience; I'm not responsible for their content.

Tray, the companion tool I'm building, is an information tool. It doesn't replace professional advice, and its results can be incomplete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Rootline, VibeCode Mom and I are not liable for any loss, injury, harm or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything on this site or in related content, cards, videos or tools.
